Gouki Neo-SVC - Toujours en développement / Still in development

Version : 0.85
Mugen version : Developpé sur 2001.04.14 (DOS), marche normalement sur toutes les versions de Mugen / Developped on 2001.04.14 (DOS), but should work with any version of Mugen.
Dernière update / Last update : 28-Juin-2005 / June, 28, 2005

Anglais This Gouki is an absolute non accurate version of SVC Gouki. He's a 6-buttons character rather complete ; some effects come from SFA, and some moves are new or modified compared to the way they work originally.

The peculiarity of this character is also that you can find a complete and detailed explanation (from the beginning to this version), in the Creation Help section (in french only).

Ce qu'il reste à faire / What's left :
France Il reste quelques petites choses à faire, en fait :
* Une IA
* Compatibilité avec le Midnight Bliss de Demitri de Bad Darkness
* De nouveaux hypers
* Correction de bugs
* De nouveaux coups, peut-être, selon l'inspiration

Anglais Some little things need to be done :
* An AI
* Compatibility with the Midnight Bliss of Bad Darkness' Demitri
* Some new hypers
* Bug fixing
* New moves, maybe, if I'm inspired.

Very Good Char ! I've tested him & AI also good, but so far I didn't notice any bug I'll post when I found one Wink . One question are you planning to make Shin Gouki mode? New Hypers like Misogi, ShunGoku Satsu 33 hits just like cvs shin gouki maybe good. For new moves since you're not intended this char to be accurate I think adding some runs would be good but it's hard to edit a run sprites. I don't know this will inspire you or not if not just screw my suggestion.

Note: I've just tested him in winmugen, dosmugen isn't yet. Wink

Lol, there's no AI for the moment ! Razz

I don't plan to make a Shin Gouki mode. In fact, I'll directly include Shin move's (like Misogi), so the char will have both Gouki and Shin Gouki moves. For Shungoku Satsu, for the moment, I don't plan to change it, or to add a new one.

There's already a "run" (I mean, what is technically called a run in Mugen). I think you mean Gouki will be running instead of just hopping forward. I don't know for the moment. I'm not a great user of runs, and as Gouki already have this hop forward and the Maku Shihai, I don't think I'll add a real run...

Thanks for comments ! Wink

Congrats

This Gouki will be a full potential Gouki, right? Since he will also have Shin moves

Yes, kinda like kof & cvs style but it doesn't matter if you don't plan to add him because...

I've heard The Dream Slayer mades an Gouki edits for his kongou kokuretsuzan & one of his winpose. Maybe you can use his sprites since his sprites are open sources.(Well, I'm not sure)

The pals contains CVS, SFA, & SVCPortrait colors & I also made ShinGouki's pals, enjoy ! Mr. Green

Yeah, Phantom.of.the.Server has told me that on Mugen Figthers Guild's forum.

I'm very interested by this move, but for the moment, the website of The Dream Slayer seems to be unavailable... Sad

Yeah I've read it too at: http://www.mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=31519.0. Too bad I can't download his CVS2 stuff Sad .

On topic: If you will make Misogi moves will Misogi can be blocked? Or unblockable? If can be blocked I've got an Idea. Take a look for the example(since I don't know how to explain well)

http://mugenight2.free.fr/wip/friki/Misogitips.gif

When Gouki has done his 1st Misogi then the opponent attack him he does like a parry & he'll do another Misogi to beat his opponent.(kinda double Misogi) Well, I hope this will help you.

Seems to be a good idea, I think, but maybe a bit "cheap". But we can imagine that the second misogi could be less powerful, and that the player has to press a button to parry P2's attack.

I'll think to this. Thanks for the suggestion.

BTW, I've tested your palettes, they're pretty. Wink If you're OK, I'll include them in the next release of Gouki. Wink

We don't know the opponent will block or dodge, obviously Misogi that we known couldn't be blocked & if the opponent use dodge The Misogi is useless. What I suggest is "Make this Misogi moves a bit tricky" Since Misogi was an Hyper moves.

Your hadouken attack when with lp: 1 hit, mp: 2 hit, hp: 3 hit right? The fireball looks same only different with count of hit, how about making the fireball effects for hp looks more bigger.(for ex: use svc shingouki's fireball) I'll rip them for example.

Sure, Very Happy feel free to use it since the char was yours, maybe more pals will soon.

Yep, and for sure, it brings a bit of originality to this move. I think I'll do that. Thanks for the idea. Very Happy

The differences are :
* lp : 1 hit, low speed, few damages
* mp : 2 hits, medium speed, medium damages
* hp : 3 hits, high speed, many damages

But for the graphics, yes, they're identical. Does shingouki's fireball's size is between gouki's fireball's size and his "super fireball"'s size ?

Yes, you're right. I recommend you to use gouki's super fireball as for his hp hadouken(since it's 3 hits count) & I've just rip shingouki's super fireball use them for gouki's super fireball if you want, also a demitri super fireball. I ripped them for spending my boring time after I got home(from college) maybe this will be useful. Wink

File format: bmp & for the lp one I think it's a bit too slow, but if that what you want just forget my feedback(as I've read your reply on mugenguild)
